Using Your Own Custom Domain

#COMING SOON

Using Your Own Custom Domain

Out of the box, your Livinity lives at yourname.livinity.io. If you own a domain — like myhome.com — you can use that instead, for a personal touch and tidy addresses for the apps you share. Set it up in Settings → Domain.

What you'll need

A domain you own, bought from any domain provider (the company you registered it with). That's it — Livinity handles the secure HTTPS part for you automatically.

Add your domain

  1. Open Settings → Domain and start the Domain & HTTPS Setup.
  2. Enter your domain name.

Add the DNS records

To connect your domain, Livinity gives you one or two small DNS records to add at your domain provider. Copy them over to your provider's settings — this is what points your domain at your Livinity.

Verify and you're done

Back in Livinity, click Verify DNS. Once it checks out — you'll see a "DNS verified!" message — your domain is live, with secure HTTPS set up automatically.

A little patience: DNS changes can take a little while to take effect across the internet. If it's not verified right away, give it some time and try again.

That's it — your Livinity is now reachable at your address, locks and all.
